SSINA monitors and advises companies on compliance with health and safety regulations, reporting and recordkeeping requirements, and other guidance set forth by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). SSINA occasionally engages in rulemakings when they are particularly significant or when specialty metals are uniquely affected.
SSINA member companies have their own employee safety and health policies and training programs, and the industry as a whole strives for continuous safety improvement.
